Supported by the Scottish Government, Transport Scotland, Network Rail, The Railway Industry Association and CPT Scotland, the 23rd Annual Scottish Transport Awards will take place at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel in Glasgow on 11th June 2026. 

The Scottish Transport Awards continue to bring the transport community together to recognise and celebrate industry achievements across Scotland.

Fiona Hyslop MSP

Fiona Hyslop MSP
Cabinet Secretary for Transport

Ms Hyslop was born in Ayrshire in 1964 and with her family spent her early years in England before returning to Ayrshire. She graduated from Glasgow University with an MA (Hons) in Economic History and Sociology.

She completed a post graduate Diploma in Industrial Administration at the Scottish College of Textiles, before moving to Edinburgh to join the financial services company Standard Life where she held various positions in sales and marketing, latterly as Brand Development Manager.

Elected in the first session of the Scottish Parliament in 1999 she has been returned as the Constituency MSP for Linlithgow since 2011.

When the SNP formed a minority administration in 2007 Ms Hyslop was appointed as Cabinet Secretary for Education & Lifelong Learning before serving in several ministerial roles, latterly Minister for Transport. She was appointed Cabinet Secretary for Transport in February 2024.

Comedian and Presenter

Des Clarke is a successful young Scottish comedian and a popular, Sony Radio Award winning presenter. He has appeared as host, performer and guest on a raft of sport, lifestyle and entertainment shows.

Onstage Des combines cleverness with childlike energy and infectious enthusiasm, appealing to any audience. He has won awards from the BBC, Channel 4 and the Daily Telegraph, and received a Sony for his part in the North by North North sketch show.

Des' big break came as co-host on SM:TV Live. Since then he has fronted the MTV Europe Awards and Children in Need. He presents Des Clarke's Friday Feeling on BBC Radio Scotland, offers a comic take on the week's sport on 5 Live, fronts BBC Scotland's Children in Need coverage, and writes an occasional column for the Daily Record.
