UK BUS SUMMIT

10TH SEPTEMBER 2026

OVERVIEW

We are delighted to be hosting our 8th UK Bus Summit in partnership with Passenger Transport. The event will take place on 10 September 2026 at The Spine, Liverpool, at a pivotal moment for bus policy, just days after the launch of Liverpool City Region's first franchised bus services.

Delivered by Transport Times, in association with Passenger Transport, and supported by Liverpool City Region, the Urban Transport Group and CPT, the Summit provides a trusted forum for insight, discussion and collaboration.

2026 is a critical year for the most widely used form of public transport across the UK. With the Government's Better Buses Act allowing local and regional authorities greater control over how they run their bus services, and more regions moving towards franchising and enhanced partnerships, bus reform is gathering pace across England and beyond. There is also a growing focus on how bus can support economic growth, improve connectivity and accelerate the journey to net zero.

The Summit will bring together mayors, policymakers, transport authorities, operators and the wider supply chain to explore the latest legislative, policy and operational developments across the UK.

You will have the opportunity to hear from key decision-makers and industry leaders, with discussion focused on:

— Reflections on the launch of Liverpool City Region's franchised bus services
— The role of mayors and devolved authorities in shaping bus networks
— Franchising and enhanced partnerships: what works where
— Delivering reliable, accessible, affordable and safe services
— How technology and data can improve performance and customer experience
— The case for long-term, multi-year funding
— Supporting decarbonisation and greener fleets

Readers of Passenger Transport magazine and members of CPT, the Urban Transport Group and Women in Bus and Coach, are eligible for a 10% discount on bookings.
